Playboy models pick stocks for 2006 in TradingMarkets.com/Playboy Contest.

Each January, the best minds on Wall Street tout their top stock selections for the year. This year, 10 Playboy models join their ranks.
TradingMarkets.com, the World’s Largest Site for Traders, has teamed up with Playboy for a very special contest - The TradingMarkets.com/Playboy 2006 Stock-Picking Contest. The rules are simple: 10 Playboy models picked their 5 favorite stocks for 2006; the woman with the best performing portfolio for the year will be crowned the winner.
The contest will run for the full 2006 calendar year.
The contest will benefit a good cause: each Playboy model is playing for a charity and at the end of the contest TradingMarkets.com will donate $50,000 to the winner’s charity.
Playboy models participating in the contest include: Christine Smith, Miss December 2005; Kara Monaco, Miss June 2005; Courtney Culkin, Miss April 2005; Jillian Grace, Miss March 2005; Pilar Lastra, Miss August 2004; Pennelope Jimenez, Miss March 2003; Amy McCarthy, Cyber Girl of the Month January 2005; Lindsey Vuolo, Miss November 2001; Deanna Brooks, Miss May 1998; and Amy Sue Cooper, 2005 Cyber Girl Of The Year.
“We really wanted the Playboy models to have fun with this contest but also to take their stock portfolios seriously so that the winning charity would be the big winner,”
said Michael Sprouse, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Playboy Entertainment Group.
“Clearly, with the stock selections, the Playboy models made some great choices and it will be exciting to see which model picked the best portfolio and how they stack up against the experts.”
“We’re excited to be partnering with Playboy for this contest and in doing so, we hope to bring some entertainment to the investment community and support some wonderful charities,” said TradingMarkets.com’s Editor-in-Chief Ashton Dorkins.
“We knew all of the girls would have selected Playboy as their top pick so we withdrew Playboy as a stock option to ensure a level playing field. The contestants have picked some very interesting stocks though and a number of them are already outperforming some of the professional money managers on Wall Street.”
The contest kicked off as of January 1, 2006 and will continue until December 31, 2006. This year’s stock picks include: Advanced Micro Devices, Amgen, Anheuser Busch, Apple Computer, Bank of America, Bebe, Bidu.com, Bluefly, Boeing, Boyd Gaming, Cheesecake Factory, Chico’s FAS, CVS, Dell, Disney, Dril Quip, Google, Hauppauge Digital, Hydril, IBM, Indevus Pharmaceuticals, Law Enforcement Associates, Microsoft, Nike, Pacific Ethanol, Paychex, Perrigo, Petrobras, Pfizer, Planet Organic Health, Research in Motion, Sirius Satellite Radio, Sky Petroleum, Steak ‘n Shake, Stem Cells, Steve Madden, Terax Energy, Third Wave Technologies, Time Warner, WebMD, Whole Foods, XM Satellite Radio, Yamana Gold and Zimmer Holdings.
